Alley-Oop Dunkel

Brewed in Kansas by Free State. No website listing.

"Meaning ‘dark’ in German, Dunkels are smooth, malty lagers that range in color from amber to a dark reddish brown. Our Alley-oop Dunkel employs a large percentage of German Dark Munich malt, adding a mild toastiness reminiscent of bread crust. Malt really is the emphasis here, but German Tettnanger hops provide just enough bitterness and flavor to assist the malt. This medium bodied German dark lager comes to us just in time to issue in another installment of March Madness. Rock Chalk Jayhawk."

Ad Astra

31 IBU. No listed alcohol level. Introduced in 1989. Brewed in Kansas by Free State Brewing.

"This Ale is the first brewed in Kansas since the pioneering days. The name "Ad Astra" comes from the Kansas State Motto - Ad Astra per Aspera, Latin words meaning "To the Stars Through Difficulties". We've blended Pale, Caramel, and Munich malts for a rich amber beer. The hops balance this malty sweetness, and we've chosen Northern Brewer and Fuggles hops for their flavor."

Wicked Hazy

6.8% alcohol. 35 IBU. Certified Kosher. Introduced in 2021. Brewed in America by Boston Beer Company.

"Super-juiced with haze for days. How about a rush of pineapple over here? How about a one-two punch of mango and peach over there? Wicked Hazy is a little bit extra, a lot blast of tropical fruit, with a smooth, silky finish. It’s like a beautiful swirling magic-eye for your mouth, if that makes sense. Drink up, it will soon.
