Boulevard Imperial Cask Cuvée

13.8% alcohol. 30 IBU. Brewed in Missouri by Boulevard Brewing.

"Often regarded as the signature release of a winery or brewery, a “cuvée” is a blend of only the best barrels — and this baby fits the bill. Employing their expert palates and extensive experience, our team artfully blended five different Imperial Stouts and aged them in five different barrels from eight months to almost two years.

This unique blend of 18% Templeton Rye Whiskey Barrels, 23% Madeira Wine Barrels, and 59% Buffalo Trace, Basil Hayden’s, and Heaven Hill Bourbon Barrels allowed for flavors unlike any other."

Boulevard Chocolate Ale (2021)

8.7% alcohol. 11 IBU. Brewed in Missouri by Boulevard Brewing.

"In developing this beer, Elbow and Boulevard brewmaster Steven Pauwels sought to harmonize the interplay of chocolate and malt, with each supporting and enhancing, but not overwhelming, the other. Just the right chocolate was essential. Elbow recommended Valrhona from the Dominican Republic, prized for its robust flavor and aroma, and a personal favorite. More than a mere savoring, the chocolate — in the form of nibs, or crushed, roasted beans – was incorporated into the brewing process itself."

Alley-Oop Dunkel

Brewed in Kansas by Free State. No website listing.

"Meaning ‘dark’ in German, Dunkels are smooth, malty lagers that range in color from amber to a dark reddish brown. Our Alley-oop Dunkel employs a large percentage of German Dark Munich malt, adding a mild toastiness reminiscent of bread crust. Malt really is the emphasis here, but German Tettnanger hops provide just enough bitterness and flavor to assist the malt. This medium bodied German dark lager comes to us just in time to issue in another installment of March Madness. Rock Chalk Jayhawk."

Stormchaser IPA

No listed abv. 59 IBU. Brewed in Kansas by Free State Brewing Co., established in 1989.

"Around these parts, we know the meaning of the word weather. From extreme heat to bone-chilling cold, we get it all – including more than our fair share of big-time storms. And while we prefer to stay in and sip on a tasty brew when things get nasty, there’s a brave and slightly crazy breed of Free Stater out there who loves chasing bad weather in the name of science or just common curiosity. That’s why we crafted this bright, hoppy IPA in their honor. If you’re up for an adventure, a Stormchaser is the perfect companion.
